It's springtime once again in DF, a great letup from the blizzards and freezing temperatures of winter. Actually, the weather could probably be considered the exact opposites with warm temperatures and tropical breezes. There are few rainstorms here and there but no lacking severe enough to cause a drought, spring is acting more like early summer then late winter this year.

Hook Island The island isn't very far off from the thin, sandy beach but the water is very deep. A thin spit of land connects the island ot the actual mainland but only when the tide is low and crabs and jellyfish are a problem. The island is indeed shaped like a hook and has almost no vegetation on it. Only two palm trees and a old, half-sunken chest are found. The chest is split open and nothing is in it sadly and the palm trees offer shade from the blazing sun on the summer days. During the high tide half the island will flood the knee height which could put a few horses in fright because of the animals now able to explore the island as well. Waterspouts are common only a mile or two from the island but have a tendency to get closer and whip the island into a small frenxy. Because of the island flooding at high tide, all kinds of animals can get to any unfortunate horse that is stuck.
Obsidian Bay The obsidian bay is named so because of the black sands that coat its beaches. The clear azure waters are darkened even on the sunniest days by the dark floor of the bay. There are no fish here, nor are sharks a worry. The waters of the bay are devoid of nautical life for the most part. The only thing that ever comes through the craggy rocks that guard the mouth of the bay are electric eels and even those are rare. No one is quite sure why this is but there are many stories surrounding this place. Very few of them are pleasant. Dangerous stallions tend to lurk in the dark forest that surrounds the bay so mares are not advised to come here alone. The bay gives most equines a relaxed, sleepy feeling almost as if it is lulling its victims into a false sense of security. But that's absurd; a body of water has no mind of its own. Or does it?
Evergreen Forest Ageless trees of every kind rise gracefully out of the dirt in this large expanse of land. Their roots ripple through the ground poking up in random spots threatening to twist the ankle of any horse. On the other side of the spectrum the trees branches unfurl from its trunk like an over grown umbrella blocking out most if not all sun. This causes the temperature within the woods to be ten degrees cooler from anywhere else. A weary little path also finds its way through the thick trees helping to aid horses on their way out unfortunately its rather twisted and nearly invisible making it easy to lose track of. Since the sun is almost nonexistant odd plants have evolved and sprouted from the earth often looking eerie and inedible. Be careful upon entering these lands as legends of horses who have died of weird illnesses from the vegetation or went crazy from days of solitude are far spread, though that is better than the horses who never even made it out.
Carnagi High hills are placed in numerous spots in this terrain and small pathways are found winding in between them as the only way to get through the land. If you can stand the buffeting winds that will pull at your body if you're able to climb the steep hills, then you have a beautiful view of the rest of the terrain and the forest the makes a wall on the east side. A few willow and oak trees dot the tops of the hills and forage growth is plentiful. Though the land is very nice to explore and eye-catching, predators find this place easy to ambush the equines, especially foals. Small tornados occur every once in a while but the only time the horses will be affected is if they are on top of one of them hills at the time. If it rains heavily, the chance of flooding occurs though it never gets more than belly high but it could be a challenge for shorter horses.
Distinctive View One tall cliff juts out over these fields, the last remains of Carnagi. It casts its shadow on the low rolling plains when the sun sinks below the horizon each evening. The cliff gets its name from the vast spanse of land one can see when standing on it, almost all of Dream Fields is visible from its peak, though not a lot of horses are brave enough to stand right on its edge. A steep path winds precariously down the cliff and spills into the grassy fields at the bottom. There is a shallow pool of water that collects in the lower part of the grasses in the wet season but otherwise this area is rather quiet and plentiful in food with minimal wind due to the looming hillside. The only thing that tarnishes this land is the claim that the grass at the bottom of the cliff stains red each evening when the sun sets to symbolize the many horses who have leapt from its tip and came crashing down to their deaths, some even claim their spirits haunt the fields at night.
Lovers Lagoon This is where equines come to mate. They arrive during all seasons, though foals born during winter have a lessened chance of survival. Mares should not come here alone, force breeding is allowed. There is a chance that foal born from a horse that was born on DF will have strange, colorful markings though this is a rare occurrence and should not be expected.
Stealthy Cove This cove is where all of the trickery and fun takes place. You may steal and raid through riddles, or role play a battle against another character.
